You are invited to the next meeting of the Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire Women in Dairy Group
· Topic: Reducing antibiotics use on farm
We all know that prevention is always better than cure and there is a need to reduce the antibiotics we use on farm from both an AMR and a calf welfare focus . Calf health is a hot spot for on farm use of antibiotics, with BRD a major cause of antibiotic use and loss of production. Hence for this session we aim to look at how to achieve your goals in calf rearing by reducing disease and hence reducing the use of antibiotics in your calves.
· Speaker: Ailsa Milnes, Veterinary Adviser, Boehringer Ingelheim
